Bearing and plate

I have dismounted the rearaxel and identified the Timken numbers which I hope to find at Hershey.I have a friend that are going to Hershey.

The rear plate has undergoing a touch up so the surface is good and not to much plastic filling is needed when the finish work begins.

First year

Here is the the results after one year of work.

The most of the doors are ready,The top part of the engine is in a shop for drilling and new valves are fitted.

Engine an doors

The last days have I cleaned the aluminum part of the engine it looks like new again -amazing!

The doors are  varnished .The cylinder head are cleaned and next step are to get it  plain.

Doors

I have sanded and varnished all four doors. The door locks has been attached with so far two screws on each lock.

The engine Red Seal model 7R is only one gear missing for the water pump shaft that drives the oil pump gear.I hope to find it.

Red Seal and door

Hi there,

I have dismantled the Continental Red Seal R7 engine and cleaned it so you can see that the engine block is made of aluminium. The work to be done with the engine is new bearings  for the crankshaft and the pistons all to be cast and arborr even the crankshaft must be sanded.

The right side front door is only the hinges in the door left to be fitted. The inside door handles the and the locks has been sandblasted and they have also been painted black ready to install.

More door

I am continuing with the work of making the wood in the doors fit correct. The hinges in the right front-door is just being testing and fitting in place.

I have bought one set of top bows with irons not yet mounted to see if it fits. The work with the gearbox is in some progress also.

Doorwood

I had to take apart the rear-door and the wood pieces needed to be repaired.I made new wood-plugs and parts of matches i all the holes fasted with i click of glue so that new nails and wood screws should be possible to attached again.

The right side doors has been sandblasted the rear was ok but the front door needs welding and replacing plate pieces.

Engine and doors

I have cleaned the engine and the gearbox with  heat and high-pressure wash and it seems to be like new!

The front door at the left side has new wood and plate been made but not yet mounted together.

The rear right door has been dismantled and the wood looks be in a very good condition it is only to take apart and perhaps one layer of varnish it is all to be required, perhaps
