A Swedish total restoration project of a Columbia Six from 1923
The work continues the last months has been passing away.The new footsteps is ready to fit in place they have been varnished a couple of times.The bolts and nuts for the cylinder head is ready to be hardned.The hubs for the front axel is also ready to be fitted in place.The wheels needs to be drilled for the larger hubs.

The work with the side plates and also the fitting of the fenders on both sides is now the prime target.
In the last month most of the time has been spent working with the hood and fitting it to the radiator and cowl.The generator is tested to be ok.
The rear floor plate is now painted,The making of new side plates has begun with cutting and bending it to right shape-more work to do there.
I have done a new hood because the old one was to much work with.The rear plate floor is painted black.
New rear u-bolts for the rear axel is also done after have primed it.
The front springs are mounted and ready to mount on the axel and have grease between the leaves.The rear springs are also ready to grease on the leaves and put together with the rear axel which not is ready to mount yet. The hubs has I mounted down and cleaned .They are also ready to mount on the wood wheels the holes for the I need to bore larger.The bearings is now been searching for perhaps could I use some of the old ones.
The work the last weeks consist of working with the front-axel and front-springs.
I have taken the springs apart and stretched them about 1/2″ .Cleaned and painted the leafs.
New spring bolts and reborred schackels.New bushing in the springs and the bushings in the frame are roomed to fit the new bolts.New spring u-bolts are also made.
The engine is moved to a shop that are going to make new babbits for the crankshaft and the connecting rods.
The work continues with the top.The steel bows are sandblasted and some rust paint is inside the bows.The wood bows is varnished and new wood is glued on the top side of the bows so that the nails fasted better.The bows is in the correct place .The wood bows are screwed and bolted to the iron bows.
I have also test mounted the top material so I can see that the bows seems to be ok.
The upper and lower windshield has been sandblasted and mounted in place and got a layer of primer.
The wood on the rear is ready and fasted with screws and varnished.The top has been tested and seems to work out proper.
I have just finished to take it all apart and all the old clothes and so much nails ! The wood bows and the steel bows is now apart and the left front bow was broken and this I must glue and reinforce before I can mount it all back in place.
The producers name for the wood bows is marked in one bow. The name of the top was also located on one of the steel bows.

The floorboards has got a ground layer of varnish and the outside or downside has also been painted black.
The cylinders and the valves are now drilled and new pistons and valves is fitted in place.
The wood in the rear is now being fitted and also the interior wood at the the rear.
