Starting with troubles
It is a couple a weeks since i updated.I have been busy…
I started the engine and it looked and sounded all right.After a short while I saw that the oil pressure was not there.Turned it of and looked after where the problem could be. First adjusting the pressure. After a couple of hours I made a new packing for the oil pump.Now I have pressure. The running board have got a rubber with aluminum trim on the sides.The reflectors are ready to mount in the headlamps.Now I started again and filling the hole water system when running the car.Then after a couple of minutes the water began to leak from the top.Stopped and draw the bolts more and than it happened that the bolts failed in there threads several of them.The only thing to do was to repair with Helicoil and even four of the bolts I needed to make new threaded bushings.
Now have I just finished with the top and draw all bolts to right measures.
Parts
Now has the parts been mounted that shows the car is nearly to be completed.
The levers in the steering wheel has been attached and also the linkage for that but it has much work left there for a smooth working.
The sending unit for the fuel in the rear is also in place.
The rear lamps has got there holes and is now mounted but not yet installed electrical.
The vacuum tank,ignition,fuse holder and the aluminum plates in the floor boards are also fitted.The floor in the front is in place with switch and starter.
Mounting fenders and instruments
Even if the summer has been very warm I had done some major jobs.The fenders and the splash apron are now in place.The fuel sender,radiator,steering wheel,hood, and the holders for the hood with plates.The instruments with the restored amp and oil are there also.The speedometer are there also but not functioning. I must solve the problem with the mounting on the front wheel first.
Tires and handles
The work the last weeks has been mounting the new tires to the new felloes.The handles are also mounted in place.The front window has glass been mounted and the rubber in the middle.The mounting of the steering wheel column has started with the bracket on the instrument panel.The rods for the ignition and gas is not yet ready.
Doorwood and radiatorshell
Now has i started with mounting the mahogany mouldings it is only some layers of varnish left.The radiator and the shell is now mounted and in place with the emblem.
Mouldings and radiator
The radiator is now repaired .The mouldings is now the next step to work with they are made in mahogany.
Upholstery ready
I have made a new wood frame for the rear window.The upholstery is done and all the panels are ready.The next step for the top are the glass for the rear window.
Instrument,interior and top
The work has advanced with the interior and the top assembly is now mounted so the top can be mounted.The rear wood window has been delayed so the rest of the top is waiting.The speedometer has been cleaned and painted new glass is needed.The fuel tank has new measuring plate being made.In the radiator shell has the front curtain been mounted.
