Rear brakes

The oil pan is now in place but I forgot the oil pump line .That means more work to take the oil pan away so that I can mount the oil line correct.I am waiting on the worm and the oil pump so that I can assembly the hole engine.The transmission control lever rocker ball is worn out so it requires that a new one is being made.The clutch trow out unit has been taken apart ,cleaned and new grease in and it is working ok.Pinbolts 13 pieces for the manifold is new ones being made.The gasoline tank has I dismantled and a first cleaning being made by poring out sand and a newspaper from 1951?Next is sandblasting and high pressure hot water cleaning.The flywheel needs to make a smooth surface for the clutch.The steel clutch disc needs to sanding.All that that I got some help with.The rear brakes are ready and the rear axle nuts are fastened with cotter pins.

Brakes and worm gear

The work with the brakes takes a lot of time.I had to get some information about how the brakes are mounted according to the rear axle.I got some help with photos how the rear brakes are mounted.Next was the same problem with the hand brake installation with all the stays and clevis pin.I hope that I now have mounted it  nearly correct next step there is to buy linnings.The engine work are just now waiting for the worm gear that is mounted on the water pump axle that drives the oil pump which is connected via a worm gear to the ignition.Sounds simple!?I have also mounted old tires three of them I do not have the last tire -hope to find some.The bolts for the oilpan are now cleaned and ready to be mounted.

Pistons and spiral gear

The work is progressing with the pistons.The next step is the camshaft and the valves.The handbrake is the next to figure out how it works and how it is mounted on the gearbox.The water pump axel that has an spiral gear that drives the oilpump and the ignition have I perhaps found.If not I have a contact that can make one.

Paint and engine

The painting of the body is progressing.The right dimensions of the pistons has arrived and also mounted.The front axle and the rear axle are now mounted .I have also test to mount one tire to see how it fits to the wheel..The front axle has new grease fittings been mounted.The steering had one of the ends on the front cross tube been worn out new ones were made there.

Engine and troubles

The engine work has stopped because of wrong compression height on the pistons.I have found new nos cast iron but it is drilled for aluminum pistons. The searching has just begun.The painting has just come to the hood in blue.More part are also painted such as the drive gear,oilpump,wheel column and front axle parts.The radiator has been tested but has some minor leaks but the bottom tank has got a big leak.The radiator shell are nickel plated and the outside handles are now in the plaiting shop.The brake cross shaft are a new one made and just fitted in place.The wood floor has been fitted in place and wood plugged in place.

Rearaxel and engine

The rear axle has got a layer of paint and the Columbia text has been painted white.The universal joints both front and rear has been put togheter.The engine the aluminum part of it with the crankshaft bearing being in the right measures ready for the connecting rods.The cylinder block and the aluminum block are bolted together .The fenders are now painted ready for mounting in place.

Radiator and rearaxle

The rearaxle is now mounted and painted .New differential axle is made and also new shimms.The radiator is broken in the bottom which needs reparing.The raditor shell is sanded and brought to a shop for nickelplating. The gearbox is new bearings mounted. The rear brakes is next to restore.

Rearaxle and paintwork

The rear axle.I have got all new bearings and mounted some.The pinion has a new flange been made and waiting to get a cone hole for fitting on the pinion.The paint job continues the pillars and the window is now painted.The fenders and the side plates is waiting next to be painted.The gear box has got new bearings I have started to mount the gears back in place.
